Last words to his Fans from Rajesh Khanna

 The first superstar of Indian cinema Rajesh Khanna, who left us all for the heavenly abode on July 18, 2012, had recorded a farewell message for his fans just like his ‘Anand’ character who left a last note for Babumoshai before passing away onscreen.
An emotional outpour, Rajesh Khanna in this last and final address to his fans recounts his journey in Bollywood.
Here’s what Kaka had to say in his last recorded message for his fans:
"Mere pyaare dosto, bhaiyo aur beheno nostalgia mein rehene ki aadat nahi hai mujhe. Hamesha bhavishya ke baare mein hi sochna padtaa hain jo din guzar gaya hai, beet gaya hai ,uska kya sochna lekin jab jaane pehchane chehre anjaan se ek mehfil mein milte hai toh yaadein wapas tazaa ho jati hai. (I don`t have a habit of dwelling in the past and living with nostalgia...but looking forward for a bright future as what is gone is gone and there is no point thinking of it).

“When we meet known faces in an unknown place then we recollect old memories”, said Khanna in the message.

Further adding Khanna said, “My journey began with theater, I owe my success to the stage. This theater where it all began when I joined the film industry, I had no God Father, no relatives or family that I could turn too. I came into the movies through the United Producers Filmfare Talent contest.”

Sharing more about his initial days and his first audition in Bollywood, Khanna said, “They asked me we had sent you a dialogue, did you memorise it? I was sitting in front of the table where they were seated and felt I was undergoing a courtmartial. I thought they would take a gun and fire at me.”
Mr Chopra said, "You are from the stage so make your own characterisation how will you convince the mother."

The dialogue that took him towards stardom was, "Haan mein kalakar hu, haan main kalakar hun, kya karoge meri kahani sunkar..." (Yes I am an artist , yes I am artist, why would you want to hear my story...), the dialogue which began his story in cinema.

Ending his message on a heartrending note, Khanna said, “ "Doston aap ka ek hissedar mein bhi hu aur jaise maine pehli bhi kaha ki aap apna kimti waqt nikalkar, aap ka yeh pyaar tha ki aap majood hue aur itni bhaari sankhya mein..main yehi kahunga ki bahut-bahut shukriya, thank you aur mera bahut-bahut salaam." (Friends, I'm a part of you, and as I said, you have all taken time out for me. This is the love, your presence in numbers that I'm greatful for, thank you, thank you my salaam to you all.)The ladder to my success goes to my fans, don`t have words to thank you....I got love but was unable to return it back.”
