The World Cup winning Under-19 cricket team of India returned home on Tuesday. The Boys in Blue were given a hero's welcome at the Mumbai airport on their arrival.Skipper Unmukt Chand and his team scripted history by defeating hosts Australia in the finals on Sunday to claim their third U-19 World Cup.
The victorious team landed at Mumbai airport around 2.20 pm after a long flight from Australia.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned a grand felicitation party for the victorious team in the evening. The board has already announced a Rs.20 lakh reward for each member of the squad.
On their way to the World Cup title, the Indians had defeated archrival Pakistan in quarterfinals and New Zealand in the semi-finals.
